That’s the big question.A Facebook photo of jamaica’s Youth and Culture Minister (Lisa Hannah) wearing a bikini started a social media debate over the appropriateness of posting such an image online as a public figure.
Her son, Alexander Panton, reportedly took the picture after the Reggae Marathon, and the image of the politician in a yellow two piece and Bob Marley top appeared on December 6.One Facebook user (Annette Apple Green) wrote: “The minister does not seem too acutely aware of her public persona… very nice but i think she should resist the urge to display these photos”.
The Jamaica Gleaner reported that Senator Marlene Malahoo Forte said: “No need to be uncharitable to our Miss World . She is appropriately attired for the beach”. However, Malahoo took to Twitter to say her quote was taken out of context.
