A bit of a set back but I have to leave my accomodation. This totally sucks given that it is Christmas time and I have been given the wonderful time frame of 2.5 days to get everything out. It's a long story but I'm furious with the accomodation over this. I am sort of happy in the same respect. The house, which I rented without seeing the property - I had to - turned out to be a massive shit hole. I mean seriously bad.
The more I struggled, the harder they tried to make it for me to back out of the contract. I knew it was going to be hard but in the end, they made it quite easy and let me out of the contract which is ending this semester. Mergh.
I'm still loving my new home in Nottingham. It's so nice here and I really feel as if I am settling in. I just need to find an apartment now! It's easier said then done given that most of the properties seem to be either student accomodation or unfurnished. I don't have my own furniture which sucks so I can't take an unfurnished flat. I wouldn't even have the funds to buy a table right now - let alone a bed or some drawers!
The other bit of bad news is that I wont be making it home for christmas. I don't mind too much given that I don't normally have a great christmas anyway - I've been in retail for eight years so I am used to only getting one day with my family. However, this year I wont even get one. It's fine though - I have friends here who are spending the day with me and also its only one day. I do feel a bit as if Christmas is something that other people are having this year and not me. I'm not catholic though so I don't feel the need to celebrate. I'm excited about getting some new sunglasses and I bought a new phone. I'm heading back to Ireland in January so I have that to look forward to!
